• New this week was the announcement that Walt Disney World is planning an "American Idol" show for Disney's Hollwood Studios, scheduled to debut in late 2008. Presented in conjunction with the show's creators and producers, the show will be held six to eight times daily, and will allow contestants to audition for a Disney producer: if they are selected, they'll get vocal coaching, hair styling and makeup and then perform in front of a live theme park audience. The winners of each day's shows will compete at the end of the day for a "guaranteed reservation" for a spot in the regional stadium auditions for the real TV show. • Construction is nearing completion on Walt Disney's Dream Suite in Disneyland. Based on watercolor sketches designed by Walt himself, but never realized in his lifetime, this one of a kind suite is located directly over the Pirates of the Caribbean...and is only available to winners in this year's Year of a Million Dreams giveaway. Throughout February however, anyone can enter for a chance to win a night's stay in the Dream Suite. Visit here for the official sweepstakes entry site.
